Privacy Policy — MeetingVault for Read AI
Effective date: September 10, 2026
The short version
MeetingVault runs in your browser. Your meeting content never leaves your
computer except to talk to Read AI’s own API. We collect only anonymous product
usage events (for example: popup opened, export succeeded) so we can tell whether
the extension is useful. We do not sell data.
What the extension does with data
- Your Read AI meeting data (transcripts, summaries, action items)
is fetched directly from Read AI's API (api.read.ai) using your existing Read AI
login session, and written directly to files in your Downloads folder. It never
passes through any server of ours.
- License keys: if you purchase the full version, your license key
is sent to Lemon Squeezy (our payment provider) to activate and periodically
re-validate it. The key and its activation state are stored in your browser's
extension storage. See Lemon
Squeezy's privacy policy.
- Anonymous usage telemetry: the extension sends small event
records (event name, extension version, anonymous install id, and coarse
buckets such as free vs paid or “1–10 meetings exported”) to a Bricks7-operated
endpoint on Google Cloud. These events never include meeting titles, transcripts,
summaries, emails, license keys, or page contents. Telemetry failures never block
export.
Permissions explained
storage — remembers your license state and an anonymous telemetry id locally.downloads — saves your exported files to your Downloads folder.- Host access to
api.read.ai — fetches your own meeting data
from Read AI's API. This is the extension's primary purpose.
Data retention
Exported files live only on your computer. Uninstalling the extension removes its
local storage. Anonymous telemetry events are kept in our logs long enough to
understand product usage (typically weeks to a few months), then age out with normal
log retention.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new
effective date.
